Birth Support Services
“Asking your [partner] to be your sole guide through labour is like asking him to lead the way on a climb of Mt Everest. He may be smart and trustworthy, you may love him, but in the Himalayas you’d both be a lot better off with a Sherpa!” – Pam England
Birth is much more than a means to an end. It has the potential to be an empowering, gratifying rite of passage for all pregnant women.
As a doula, my goal is to help facilitate that process of empowerment and assist women and their partners in getting the most out of their birth experience. With a combination of doula and social work training, I can provide emotional, educational and physical support during pregnancy, labour, birth and postpartum. I will be your constant in a sea full of medical professionals. Above all, I will do my very best to be fully present and hold that sacred space for you while you do the work to birth your baby into the world.
